Turnstile: Time & Space Vinyl LP

<p><i>Maryland's Turnstile is one of the most exciting bands</i> to pay attention to in the hardcore scene. Its second full-length, <i>Time &amp; Space</i>, is the group's first for Roadrunner Records (the winners of a pretty serious label bidding war), and the quintet brings hefty, intense, and youthful energy that's reminiscent of <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&amp;q=rage%20against%20the%20machine&amp;filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Rage%20Against%20The%20Machine%22" title="Rage Against The Machine Music on Vinyl LP" target="_blank">Rage Against The Machine</a>, but with the instrumental stylings of a band like <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=snapcase" title="Snapcase Music on Vinyl LP" target="_blank">Snapcase</a>. Bombastic riffs, dynamic drumming, unruly bass work, and of course, Brendan Yates's hard vocals come together under production from Will Yip (<a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&amp;q=diplo&amp;filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Diplo%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Diplo%20%26%20Santogold%3A%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Diplo%20%26%20Tripledouble%22" title="Diplo Music on Vinyl LP" target="_blank">Diplo</a> also contributes on "Right To Be"), and simply put, <i>Time &amp; Space</i> will encourage intense mosh pits. Check out "Moon," "Real Thing," "Generator," and "I Don't Wanna Be Blind."</p> <ul> <li>black vinyl pressing</li> <li>gatefold sleeve</li> <li>music label: Roadrunner Records 2018</li> </ul> <h6>reviewed by rei kwondo 03/2018</h6>
