<p><i>Blackboard Jungle Dub is one of the benchmark dub albums </i>- an all-time great for reggae music, one of <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=Lee+Perry" target="_blank"><strong>Lee Perry</strong></a>'s most highly regarded and widely known works, and one of the very first all-dub albums to be released. The background on this is that it's a Lee Perry masterminded affair with a tight and extremely funky version of <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=the+Upsetters" target="_blank"><strong>the Upsetters</strong></a> band laying down the tracks. At the time, Perry did not have a studio of his own, so legend has it that this was mixed down by the Dub Originator himself, <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=article%2Cpage%2Cproduct&q=King+Tubby" target="_blank"><strong>King Tubby</strong></a>, with some obvious help from Scratch.
