<p><i>For fans of the straight up Brooklyn timbos an trees hip hop,</i> <em><a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=Dah+Shinin" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Dah Shinin</a>'</em> is somewhere near the pinnacle of the pyramid. This LP ain't gonna change the world with its lyrics or production, but it's probably the most perfect of all the <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=Boot+Camp+Clik" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bootcamp</a> albums. The <strong><a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=Beatminerz" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Beatminerz</a></strong> got the production locked at that perfect balance of smoothest jazz loops, rough drums and the original criminal lyrics that made all the <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&amp;q=Black%20Moon&amp;filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Black%20Moon%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Smif-N-Wessun%22" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Black Moon</strong></a> singles so great (and the album sound weaker in comparison). First single "<a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=Bucktown" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Bucktown</a>" is still one of their strongest tracks alongside my sleeper favorite "Stand Strong." The album gets deep into that winter Brooklyn feel, like "Wontime" giving the evil energy to grit ya jaw and walk with a bop while your nose freezes off. The subject matter doesn't change that much, but at least they're consistent. Also includes "Timz N Hood Check," "Wrecktime" and "<a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&amp;q=Sound+Bwoy+Bureil" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Sound Bwoy Bureil</a>"; 13 tracks in all, high quality Euro import 2LP edition.</p> <ul> <li>black double vinyl pressing<br> </li> <li>high-quality European import</li> <li>music label: HHV.DE 2020</li> </ul> <h6>reviewed by the mgmnt 08/2005</h6>
