<p><i>Pixies rule! Bossanova is awesome! Put the McRib on the permanent menu!</i> Yadda-yadda, <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&q=Bossanova&filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Pixies%22" target="_blank"><em>Bossanova</em></a> is like what <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&q=Siamese%20Dream&filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Smashing%20Pumpkins%22" target="_blank"><em>Siamese Dream</em></a> did for the <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&q=Smashing+Pumpkins" target="_blank"><strong>Pumpkins</strong></a>, everything except for the mainstream crossover. It was a pop-like entry hole for all the other college kids to jump into and roll around in. Like every <strong><a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?&q=Pixies&filter=Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Breeders%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Frank%20Black%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22Pixies%22%20OR%20Brand/Manufacturer/Artist_fq:%22The%20Pixies%22" target="_blank">Pixies</a></strong> album, it's best listened to as a whole (it retains that short song punk format), but it does include some of my favorite Pixes tunes evah like "Velouria" (although the <a href="https://www.turntablelab.com/search?type=product&q=Weezer" target="_blank"><strong>Weezer</strong></a> cover might be better), the bottomed-out "Stormy Weather," Frank-bansheed "Rock Music," the best song about girls named Allison, "Allison” and the happy shroom closer "Havalina." But really, I used to love the McRib as a kid, but they are gross now.
