<p dir="ltr"><strong><em>Preorder, ships mid March</em></strong></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>"Give me liberty, or give me death!" is a famous quote from a speech by Patrick Henry, delivered on March 23, 1775 at the Second Virginia Convention, urging the state to raise a militia for the Revolutionary War against Britain. The speech argued that peaceful negotiation was futile and that the colonies must fight for their freedom. The line served as a rallying cry for America’s independence.</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Welcome to the </span><span>Liberty or Death Ruck</span><span>. You and your team will complete a 5K distance (or more if your club has a bunch of hard chargers). Each time you complete a mile, you will give your participants a choice: LIBERTY OR DEATH:</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>LIBERTY = A patriotic activity</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Examples:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Sing a patriotic song (such as “Yankee Doodle,” “You're a Grand Old Flag,” “America the Beautiful,” or “My Country 'Tis of Thee”)</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Recite the preamble to the Constitution</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Recite a line from Patrick Henry</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Give participants 60 seconds to list the Bill of Rights</span></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><span>DEATH = Short, simple PT (1 set of 10 reps, hard chargers can do 3 sets of 10 reps)</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><span>Examples:</span></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>10 ruck burpees</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>10 ruck squats</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>10 ruck presses</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>10 ruck push-ups</span></li> </ul> <h6 dir="ltr"><span>DETAILS:</span></h6> <ul> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Ruck the route and complete a “Liberty or Death” challenge at each mile.</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Minimum distance: 3 miles </span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"> <span>Weight: rucker's choice, but go heavy on this one…liberty is worth the effort!</span> <ul> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>If you normally ruck 10# dry, level up to 20#</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>If you normally ruck 20# dry, level up to 30#</span></li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>If you normally ruck 30# dry, level up to 45#</span></li> </ul> </li> <li dir="ltr" role="presentation"><span>Share on social media using #RUCKCLUBCALLOUT and tag @goruck</span></li> </ul>
