These are two old souls of the Mediterranean summer. Black Figs are one of the original fruits of civilization: sacred, sticky, and indulgent. Fennel is just as legendary: wild, aromatic, and bright, growing along roadsides and coastlines, beloved by cooks, poets, and anyone with a good piece of fish and a hot pan. Our new harvest of Fig Balsamic is honeyed and thick, with caramel sweetness, dark fruit, and just enough tang to make everything wake up. Our Fennel Olive Oil is floral, peppery, and alive, infused with the golden pollen of wild Fennel. One brings richness. The other brings lift. Together, they are sweet and savory, dark and bright, ancient and very useful. Both are harvested and bottled here in California. The Figs are pressed from organic Calabrian stock and aged in oak barrels, becoming darker, rounder, and more delicious with time. Our Fennel pollen comes from Carranza Family Farms along the regenerative California coast. We reach for them constantly. Fig Balsamic over aged cheese, grilled stone fruit, bitter greens, roasted vegetables, or vanilla ice cream. Fennel Olive Oil over roasted fish, citrus, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and anything that needs a little brightness.
