HTRK: Psychic 9-5 Club (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

by Turntable Lab

$26.95

Psychic 9-5 Club was the first record from HTRK recorded as a duo, following the death of founding member Sean Stewart. The Melbourne group's early records being released on Blast First and Fire should give some hints to their sound - textured post-punk guitars, dubby basslines, and skittering drums. This record is their most melancholy, anchored by a foreboding low-end rumble and haunting vocals by Jonnine Standish. “Blue Sunshine” has snares reduced to a mere hiss, while “Chinatown Style” has an earthy, musique concrete vibe. Mastered for vinyl by Rashad Becker at D&M Berlin, long before everything on earth was.

clear pink marble colored vinyl

printed inner sleeve

includes obi strip

digital download included w/ (5) digital bonus tracks

original release year: 2014

music label: Ghostly International 2025

reviewed by factory store 04/2019
