Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity.</li> <li>For natural teak pieces, the teak’s natural oils cause a natural occurrence called oil surfacing, in which teak oil will pool on the surfaces of new or very young natural teak, almost like a watermark pattern of discoloration.
