The upper is waxy calf from Prime Tannery, a vegetable-retanned leather with natural water resistance and enough substance to take on a patina over the years. Inside, horsehide linings — hard-wearing in a way few linings still are. Brass hardware throughout, and laces cut from veg-tan leather.<br> <br> Built on the SWAY last — generous through the vamp, easy from the first wear — and finished on a new City latex sole in taupe, quieter than the usual white and easier to pair with the rest of the wardrobe.</p><p></p>
